As we are leaving the deep Scorpio season, our hearts become lighter and excitement for Christmas is coming! Do you have this special feeling? 13 Dec New moon in Sagittarius & Mercury starts its last retrograde tour of this year in earth signs with Capricorn.
Sun/Moon embrace at 20° Sagittarius has not many aspects around them. However, an outstanding trine to the NNode in Aries is giving great hope for our inner purpose in life. We want and can in reality improve what needs to change with our own will power! So, I encourage you at the New Moon to write your list of hopes and visions for reaching out to your goals without limiting yourself here. Only Uranus in Taurus in an in-conjunction tries to give us an uneasy feeling, which we can act out with an even more positive intention in our activities. It is the Seeking Archer of Sagittarius Archetype, that makes us think BIG.
Mercury prepares for its retrograde tour until 2nd of January. With a friendly sextile to Venus in Scorpio and a favorable trine to Jupiter (Rx) we have all the prerequisites to make our thoughts and communication with ourselves and others more calm and peaceful. Give it a try, because this carries the potential of a healing within!
22 Dec Sun enters Capricorn.
What can be said? Well, the sun ingresses into the structured, earthy sign of Capricorn conjunct with Mercury (Rx). Of course with Mercury and Jupiter still in retrograde, it will not manifest in reality, but more as a thought. Both build a favorable sextile to Saturn, being at its first degrees in the sign of Pisces. Also a Moon/ Jupiter conjunct is part of this fantastic minor triangle, so-called lucky aspect constellation in a chart. Howdy, that can boost our big visions with a strong and very clear structured thinking. We can push through with a mental clarity for getting our thoughts aligned. Just before Christmas this is a wonderful gift that we all can nurture and make use of. However, with Mercury and Jupiter still in retrograde, it will be still a wishful thinking.

What is a Minor Triangle? When we see more than two aligned planets in a chart, astrologers call it an Aspect Pattern. The Minor Triangle is built of 3 planets, where two planets are standing in a 120° angle, which is called a trine, while they both build a 60° angle (called sextile) to another planet (the so-called Apex planet). In our example (see Pic.), we have Sun conjunct Mercury (Rx) in Capricorn trine Moon conjunct Jupiter (Rx) in Taurus. Both of these two conjunctions build a sextile to Saturn in Pisces. This is called a Minor Triangle. In this case, not only 3 but 5 planets are involved! Saturn as the Apex planet grounds our individual structured thoughts (Sun/Mercury) boosted by inner emotional driven ideas (Moon/Jupiter) beautifully here.

27 Dec Full Moon happens in Cancer & Chiron will move forward again in Aries.
Full moon means sun and moon are exactly opposite in the signs of Capricorn and Cancer. Christmas is over and we are preparing to end this year. I love this in-between-time for this is super favorable to connect with the spirits in rituals and other energy work. How do you celebrate or contemplate that time of the year? Moon and Sun are happily connected with Jupiter, who prepares to come out of its retrograde at the very last day of the year (see below). So, the best way to go through this Full Moon is celebrating our year 2023! – What comes up for you, what achievements did you attain, what are you proud of, which are the deepest desires (Cancer Moon) that you could manifest (Sun in Capricorn)? Overall, it is this positive and optimistic vibe, that kicks us into 2024 – a brand new beginning with an empty slate, that we can fill with our best intentions and dreams. The Sun is the ruler of this coming year: – Make our own dreams come true – this maxim is born for 2024!
For 5 months Chiron went retrograde in Aries. But now in a forward direction, we will have a better grip on our wounds and uncertainties. That brings new awareness and a reality check is possible to face this incompleteness inside of us. The soul can find peace and we can turn this wound into our greatest gift. We only need a bit of self esteem offered by Aries energy!
31 Dec Jupiter goes direct in Taurus.
Last day of the year – wow! We made it through another difficult and turbulent time with Pluto ingress into Aquarius happened, but returned into Capricorn. This Pluto ingress will be repeated next year on January 21st until September 2nd! I will write some updates on this next year. Now, Jupiter takes a forward turn at 5 ° in Taurus coming out of a retrograde time since September 5th.
What can be seen on this last day? Well, our sun in Capricorn is brilliantly emphasized with our lucky planet Jupiter. – A Jupiter sextile over to Saturn completes the picture. We are in a very good mood, I would say. The only thing is, that our Moon – standing bright and gorgeous in Leo the whole day – will move into Virgo before midnight. Moon in Virgo will oppose Saturn in an applying T-square with Venus in Sagittarius.

Astrologers call an aspect between two or more planets, that are approaching each other in building an exact angle, an applying aspect, whereas when an aspect moves out of the exact angle, it is called a separating one. This is always defined by the faster moving planet in the constellation. In this case, it is a T-Square (another Aspect Pattern) in an applying aspect with the Moon as fastest moving (see Pic.).
